Dr Irina Opris, DC, BSc
Chiropractor
I graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), where I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I also hold an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. I am passionate about helping people improve movement, recover from injuries, and achieve their health goals. Before I became a chiropractor I worked as a personal trainer in a multidisciplinary clinic, which deepened my appreciation and curiosity for the complexity the body. Now as a chiropractor I have an in-depth understanding the body's interconnected systems, which has strengthened my commitment to holistic, movement-based care.
In my practice, I take a patient-centered and evidence-based approach, to create personalized treatment plans. This gives my patients the best chances of recovery from injuries, manage musculoskeletal conditions, and optimize their mobility and performance. I enjoy working with patients of all ages and activity levels, from athletes to rehabilitation patients. I love seeing the progress when I'm helping people move better, feel stronger, and perform at their best, both in sport and daily life.
With my roots in the Waterloo Region, I am committed to helping my community through chiropractic care. Outside the clinic, I enjoy staying active and spending time with family and friends, whether on the tennis court, exploring nature, or relaxing outdoors.
Dr Emily Willms, DC, BSc
Chiropractor
I began my education at Brock University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Kinesiology. As a former ice hockey, field hockey, and track and field athlete I volunteered as a student athletic trainer throughout university, finding a passion for people and health care. Inspired by this I earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College.
Throughout my time in New York state, I was an intern at a Veterans Affair clinic in Rochester as well as a health center in the Buffalo area. This gave me experience treating a variety conditions. I'm certified in the Webster technique, which gives me the skills and knowledge to treat pregnant and post-partum patients. My commitment to lifelong learning includes continuing my education in the pediatric and women’s health field.
My passion for overall health and wellness led me to chiropractic. I use many techniques including manual mobilizations and massage, targeted active exercises, and lifestyle recommendations to work with you to reach your wellness goals. Patient centered care is a priority to me, meaning every appointment is about you, your needs, and comfort level.
Being from Elmira, Ontario I returned to Waterloo Region to be close to my friends and family. I spend my time staying active at the gym, reading, or visiting our family cottage on Georgian Bay.
