Co-Op Student - Winter 2027
Are you a university student interested in pursuing a career in physiotherapy, kinesiology, or another healthcare profession?
PhysioMira Physiotherapy is looking for a motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic student to join our team! This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy, multidisciplinary healthcare environment while developing valuable clinical, administrative, and patient communication skills.
While the role primarily involves administrative and patient service responsibilities, students with a kinesiology background may also have opportunities to participate in supervised patient care activities and gain exposure to the rehabilitation process.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical and Patient Care Support
- Assist physiotherapists with the development of individualized home exercise programs.
- Demonstrate rehabilitative exercises to patients under the supervision of a regulated healthcare professional.
- Support therapists with patient care activities when appropriate.
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
Patient Services and Administration
- Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Assist with daily clinic operations, including treatment room preparation, cleaning, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
- Schedule appointments and manage therapists' calendars.
- Learn and use electronic medical records and scheduling software.
- Develop an understanding of private health insurance in Canada, including submitting claims and processing direct billing.

Registered Physiotherapist
We are a new clinic in the Waterloo Region but our ownership has operated clinics outside of Ontario for almost two decades. We are positioning our brand as a boutique clinic, offering a healthcare experience that doesn't feel like healthcare. The foundation to deliver this experience starts with seasoned therapists, which is why all our therapists have least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
Our physiotherapists' caseloads are 100% private, providing serious income potential. We see a variety of patients, mainly a very active, motivated population. We provide flexibility and autonomy to our clinicians in their practice.
